The ehealth week 2016 consists of three events divided over five days. This week has not only an international focus, local initiatives are provided with a platform too.
8 - 10 June 2016 | E-Health Week
The eHealth Week is an international conference organized by the European Commission, HIMSS Europe and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. This 3-day conference brings together top policy makers, health care providers, researchers and industry from across Europe and international partners.
During the eHealth Week 2016, specific attention will be drawn to the involvement of eHealth users. Patients, consumers, doctors, nurses and informal care givers have been given a prominent role in the conference. This reflects the growing understanding that health IT should not primarily focus on technology, but on what it means for the people that use it in their day-to-day life. eHealth should make their lives easier and better.
Instead of a conference where we will only talk about eHealth, the eHealth Week 2016 will showcase actual eHealth solutions. Not only will services and solutions be available to be tested, experienced and tried out, but we will also challenge the speakers to present concrete outcomes and plans.
The event takes place in the Beurs van Berlage. This historic location in the city centre of Amsterdam is the perfect location for this three-day event which focuses on the real use of eHealth in society. It is expected that 2200 visitors will participate during these three days.
